Administrators, physicians, nurses and allied healthcare staff have crucial roles in making organ and tissue donation possible, by identifying and referring patient deaths to Gift of Hope for donor evaluation. When medical eligibility and consent for donation are confirmed, we work together to ensure support for the donor’s family, facilitate successful donation, and ultimately provide life-giving organ and tissue transplants for those in need.

At each of the 179 hospitals in our donation service area, our Hospital Development Coordinators work with administrators, physicians, nurses and allied staff to develop and maintain protocols, analyze data, provide continuing education on the donation process, and follow up on every opportunity for donation, whether realized or missed.
